Every business needs to connect with potential customers, and yours is no different. For Cognos partners, Supportlink offers an opportunity to reach out to more than 60,000 Cognos customers every month.

Supportlink advertising provides an effective, affordable way to develop new business leads as well as re-connect with your existing customers.

Our advertising options provide something for everyone – from feature-rich Platinum, Gold, and Silver Sponsorship Plans to a-la-carte advertising opportunities for as little as $600 per placement on multiple-issue orders. Introductory pricing is now in effect.

Full advertising details, including Formats and Rates, appear below. As a general rule, bookings close the 15th of every month prior to the issue in which the ad would appear.

Advertising Formats

There are two types of advertising in Supportlink – text ads and graphic ads.

Text Advertisements

Text ads appear in the Sponsored Links column on the right-hand side of each page in the Supportlink site. When purchasing a Supportlink Text ad, the advertiser receives two ad placements: one in the Sponsored Links column, and an Embedded ad that appears beside the text of a specific article within the site. Each Text ad in the Sponsored Links column consists of two elements, both of which are linked to a URL provided by the advertiser:

  1. The title – the advertiser’s company or product name
  2. The body – a brief advertising message (maximum 25 words) that appears below the advertiser’s company name

Sponsored Links advertisers can purchase additional Embedded ads separately. For pricing, see Advertising Rates below. All wording for Text and Embedded ads is subject to review by Cognos.

Graphic Advertisements

Graphic ads, which can be placed by Platinum, Gold, and Silver sponsors (see Sponsorship Plans below), are image files (.jpg, .gif, .psp, etc) that appear in the main column of Supportlink’s Home page and four main landing pages – Features, Techniques, Multimedia, and Archives. Unlike Sponsored Links ads that consist solely of text, graphic ads can feature the corporate logo, corporate colors, and general corporate look and feel, thus enabling advertisers to support and reinforce messaging that they deliver through other Web sites and media.

Graphic ads are included in the Platinum, Gold, and Silver sponsorship programs. If desired, Platinum, Gold, and Silver sponsors can purchase additional graphic ad positions separately. All wording for graphic ads is subjected to review by Cognos. All artwork must be submitted as high-resolution jpgs or equivalent graphic files.
