対応ソフトウェア環境は、特に断りのない限り、他社製ソフトウェアはその最初のリリースを想定しており、パッチやサービスパックまたは同等のものを必要としないことを想定しています。同様に、断りのない限り新機能（コンパティブル・モード）を無効にするように他社製ソフトウェアが設定されていないこと、及び他社製ソフトウェアのパッチやサービスパックはコグノス製品に対して上位互換であると想定しています。
Cognos TM1 64-bit製品を除き、コグノスの製品は、全て32bit製品であり、サード パーティーの32bitライブラリとのみ統合することができます。また、Windowsと書かれている場合は、Intel上のWindows環境のみをその対象としています。
本リリースでサポートされない機能と本リリース以降のリリースにおいてサポートされなくなる機能については、製品のドキュメンテーションReadme中の「サポートされなくなった機能」の章をご覧下さい。Readmeは製品インストールに含まれており、本サイトのDocumentation & Utilities Libraryからダウンロードしていただくことも可能です。
Cognos Series 7 Version 4 製品をインストールする前に、お使いのコンピュータが全てのソフトウェア要件およびハードウェア要件を満たしていることをご確認下さい。
Cognos Series 7.4の製品がサポートする環境は、以下の通りです。サポート欄のActiveは、コグノスがテストした環境を、Compatibleは、コグノスがテストしている可能性があるものの、そのテストは限定的である可能性があり、コグノスのパートナー各社様と他社メーカー様からの上位互換のステイトメントに基づくサポートとなる可能性があります。Unsupportedは、サポート対象外であることを示します。より古いリリースの環境につきましては、充分なテストは以前のコグノス製品のリリースを対象に行われた為、時間の経過と共に、ActiveからCompatibleへと移行する可能性がございます。
