対応ソフトウェア環境は、特に断りのない限り、他社のソフトウェアはその最初のリリースを想定しており、パッチやサービスパックまたは同等のものを必要としないことを想定しています。同様に、断りのない限り、他社ソフトウェアのパッチやサービスパックはコグノス製品に対して上位互換であると想定しています。
下記に、Cognos ReportNet 1.1（MR１を含む） のソフトウェア環境への対応を、「Active」、「Compatible」、「Unsupported」のいずれかとして記載します。「Active」となっている環境は、コグノス社がテストを行った環境です。「Compatible」と記載されている環境は、テストをしているかもしれませんが、その範囲が限られていることがあります。あるいは、そのサポートはコグノスパートナーや他社ベンダーによる上位互換表明に基づいている場合もあります。また、ソフトウェア環境のある特定のリリースが古くなるにつれ、テストの大半はコグノス製品の過去のリリースで行っていることになるため、時間の経過とともに「Active」から「Compatible」に移行していくケースもあります。
