IBM Cognos 8 BI Certification - Role-based
You can prepare for the role based certification exams by taking the recommended classroom course(s).
An individual certified in the role-based level can be expected to be an effective team member on a Cognos 8 implementation project.
To prepare for the exams, we recommend you review the Certification Study Guide and take the courses (where applicable).
If you are a more experienced consultant and have the necessary knowledge to successfully pass the exams or you feel that you do not require further training, you are able to take the exam at your convenience.
Role-based Certification
Notes:
The certification exams focus on concepts and knowledge that is applicable, as much as possible, across IBM Cognos 8. Exam content is not specific to a product point release. When you become certified on a IBM Cognos 8 role, there is no need to recertify when the exams are updated – you are considered certified for IBM Cognos 8.
The Certification Study Guides list the learning materials for the latest version of the product (e.g. 8.3), but earlier versions of learning materials (e.g. 8.1) will also support certification.
