The Cognos Certification Program establishes an industry standard benchmark and validation of technical competence for professionals working with Cognos technology. The program provides a way for professionals to demonstrate their competence in a competitive marketplace, empowering businesses to leverage their performance management solutions from Cognos with confidence.
Cognos Certification is the only authorized accreditation in the industry for benchmarking and validating Cognos expertise.
Notice of discontinuation of support
for all pre-Cognos 8 exams
On May 2, 2008, Cognos Academy will no longer be supporting the administration of the pre-Cognos 8 certifications that were decommissioned on June 29, 2006 (e.g., Series 7, Cognos Planning 7.3 and Cognos ReportNet 1.1).
This means that the following administrative support will no longer be available to Partners and Customers:
- Reissuing of pre-Cognos 8 Certificates
- Changes to your profile in the Certification database, such as company information or contact information
- Confirmation of pre-Cognos 8 certification (e.g., Cognos Planning Analyst 7.3 and Contributor 7.3 Certification Holders, Solutions Professional Certifications)
- While the pre-Cognos 8 certification are still valid, we will no longer be marketing them on the Certified Partner website
Program Structure
The certification program currently consists of 2 levels: Role-based certification and Professional certification. The role-based level serves as a mandatory prerequisite to the professional level.
