Cognos developed a number of diagnostic tools to help verify your environment, identify and troubleshoot issues, provide you with a way to automate data collection and detailed systems information when you need it.

Diagnostic results can be attached to cases logged with Cognos Support, significantly reducing time spend during the manual data collection.

Primarily developed in Java, these diagnostics are read-only and do not make any changes to your environment or Cognos products.

We are continually developing new diagnostics - so come back often to check for updates.

IBM Cognos 8 SDK Validation Tool The validation tool is command line driven and requires the Cognos SDK be installed. The Validate tool runs a health check of the report specification in the Content Store and reports any errors returned by the Validate capability.
