Mission

To provide a forum for Cognos end users to be able to share experiences to achieve common objectives, to encourage and assist users of Cognos solutions to make the most effective use of their products, to promote the interchange of ideas among members, and to establish and maintain active and regular communication between group members and Cognos.

 

Membership

Membership in the group is open to any users or potential users of Cognos products in Tennessee. There are no dues or fees for membership.

 

Group Management

The group will be managed by a steering committee that will be formed at the next user group meeting in September. All members of the steering committee will volunteered their time and may join or resign at any time. The steering committee will be comprised of local Cognos users. The responsibilities of the committee include:

  • Make arrangements for all group meetings, including meeting location, speakers, room reservations, equipment, refreshments, door prizes, and handouts.
  • Regularly communicate with members via meeting notices and emails Meeting notices, steering committee members and other information will be posted on the Cognos International User Group web site.
  • Maintain and keep confidential the group's membership list.

Meetings

Meetings are held quarterly at a time and place determined by the Steering Committee. Most meetings are sponsored and hosted by a member of the User Group.
