Implementation Roadmap, following a hybrid conversion
approach – some elements are converted using a Lift and
Shift approach where redundancy is eliminated but the
core elements of the reports are converted unchanged.
Other elements require a more detailed strategic Compress
and Optimize conversion, where improvements using
new technology in Cognos 8 BI are applied to improve
their effectiveness. This hybrid approach delivers the most
effective results and leads to a greatly improved BI
