Do I get any documentation following a consultancy engagement?

During the engagement ‘Status Reports’ will be produced, which will provide basic information on the objectives of the assignment, a summary of work undertaken and any further recommendations. Time will be set-aside during the assignment to prepare these documents. For larger engagements the Cognos Deployment methodologies that will be used on all engagements provide a Customer Success Plan at the start of the project and a Go Forward Plan at the end of the engagement.

Are Cognos Consultants certified Project Managers?

All Cognos consultants are certified to deliver projects through our Cognos Solutions Implementation Methodology (SIM). In addition, our Project Management Certification Program trains and certifies a percentage of our consultants for more in-depth larger or more complex project management. The program combines general and Cognos-specific project management, through online testing, case studies, and peer reviews. It was developed to be aligned with the Project Management Institute’s (PMI’s) professional PM certifications (PMP, CAPM). PMP-certified consultants are normally not necessary for Cognos implementations since our experience minimizes potential issues, but we can supply one if your project requires it.
